Pre-School Fees
For parents paying for their child’s place at pre-school
From 1st September 2023, our fees are as follows:
Under 3’s – £7.00 per hour
Over 3’s – £6.50 per hour
Early start 8.15am-9am £5.00
Fees are invoiced monthly or half termly depending on your choice and can be paid by bank transfer or cash.
Our sessions run:
Monday to Weds 9am-3pm
Thurs, Fri 9am-1pm
Lunch is 12pm-1pm
Early starts are available Mon-Friday from 8.15am – 9amFor both fee paying and funded children we ask that your child attends a minimum of 2 sessions a week (at least 6 hours a
week) to ensure each child receives the opportunity to experience a wide variety of activities and form positive relationships.Notice for changing sessions – We require one month’s written notice, that your child will be leaving or decreasing sessions.
If you wish to increase sessions we will attempt to provide this option as soon as sessions are available.Funded children
For children in receipt of 15 or 30 hours funding we ask for a sustainability charge of £2.50 per day attended (so a maximun of £12.50 per week)
This goes towards the cost of our daily snack plus extra curricular activities such as yoga, music, cookery etc.Get help paying for childcare
There are various methods available to get help paying for childcare, all of which are detailed here on the gov.uk website
Parents who have successfully registered for an ‘online tax free childcare account’ will be able to send payments to us.

EYFE Funding
15 hours for 3 year olds
All children are entitled to 15 hours of funded nursery education the term after their 3rd birthday.
We will provide you with the necessary funding form at the relevant times and then apply for funding on your behalf. The funding is paid directly to the Preschool.
Saltdean Pre-school is funded on a termly basis (and therefore across 38 weeks in the year).
Sessions are available between 9am-3pm Mon-Weds and 9am-1pm Thurs and Fri.
You will need to provide identification for your child, such as their birth certificate or passport.
Our Manager will go through this process with you when you register your child.30 hours for 3 year olds
Any extra hours over 15 hours a week are charged as per our fees above unless you are eligible for 30 funded hours.

From April 2024 some working parents of 2 year olds will be eligble for 15 hours of childcare.

We are able to accept ‘Funded Two Year Olds’. To qualify for this funding, the Government requires that a family must be in receipt of one of the following:- Working Tax Credit provided your annual income (as assesssed by HMRC) does not exceen £16,190
- Income Support
- Income based Job Seekers Allowance
- Income related Employment and Support Allowance
- Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit, provided you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual household income (as assessed by HM Revenue & Customs) that does not exceed £16,190.
- Universal Credit (provided you have an annual net earned income of no more than £15,400, as assessed y earning from up to three of your most recent assessment periods)
