What to bring

  • What your child needs to bring to pre-school

Keeping them warm, dry and happy

Please label all of your child’s belongings. www.mynametags.com is a great website to order fun long lasting labels.
Use our school ID number:85827 at checkout as 24% of every order is donated to our Pre-School.

We provide aprons for the children when they play with messy activities but please be prepared for them to get dirty still!
We encourage you to dress your child in practical clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.

We have uniform for sale; sweatshirts £10 and t-shirts £7. You will receive one of each when you join.
Each child will need a named spare set of clothes if they get very dirty /wet or for those inevitable accidents.
We encourage children to gain the skills that help them to be independent and look after themselves.
These include taking themselves to the toilet and taking off, and putting on, outdoor clothes. Clothing that is easy for them to manage will help them to do this
Please provide your child with a coat, hat and gloves and suitable outdoor shoes when it’s cold.

If your child is not yet toilet trained, you will also need to provide nappies, wipes and nappy bags.

During warm sunny weather you will need to provide a sunhat and we request that you apply sun-cream to your child before they arrive at pre-school.

You will need to provide your child with a named water bottle and a packed lunch if your child is staying beyond 12pm.

Ideas for healthy lunchboxes include: a sandwich, pasta salad, pitta and humous, yoghurt,  a piece of fruit, fruit bars, dried fruit, cheese and crackers.
You can access more information and advice from  www.nhs.uk/healthier-families
Please remember that due to allergies we are a NUT FREE setting and request that no foods containing  nuts are brought into pre-school.
